RECOMMENDED APPROACH
How it is solved
A non-contact 80 GHz radar with an encapsulated PTFE lens ignores vapour and condensation. For vessels with foam or agitators, a guided-wave probe in a stilling well is the backup.

80 GHz FMCW radar level
A frequency-modulated radar beam reflects off the surface; the frequency offset between emitted and returned signal gives distance.
