What it does and why it is built this way

The TM-210 uses a thermocouple junction for fast response and a very wide range, to 1,100 °C. It suits furnaces, flue gas and exhaust applications.

Mineral-insulated sheaths resist vibration and can be bent on site to fit awkward installations.

Two dissimilar metals are joined at the measuring junction.
A temperature difference creates a small voltage (the Seebeck effect).
The transmitter adds cold-junction compensation and converts to temperature.
